Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using BankScorer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

BankScorer provides a searchable database of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) ratings sourced from the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC). Current ratings are available free of charge. Full examination history, CSV export, email alerts, and API access require a paid plan.

3. Accuracy of data

CRA rating data is sourced directly from the FFIEC and is provided for informational purposes only. We make no warranty that the data is complete, current, or error-free. Ratings may not reflect the most recent examinations if the FFIEC has not yet published updated data. Always verify critical information directly with the relevant regulator (OCC, Federal Reserve, or FDIC).

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not share your account or API key with others.

5. Payments and refunds

One-time purchases. Payment for per-bank history unlocks is non-refundable once the content has been accessed.

Subscriptions. Business plan subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

Free trial. The Business plan includes a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge.

6. API usage

API access is included with the Business plan. You may not resell, redistribute, or build a competing product using BankScorer API data. Rate limits may be enforced to ensure fair access for all users.

7. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Scrape or bulk-download data without an active API subscription
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Misrepresent the source or accuracy of CRA rating data
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BankScorer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
