Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We use Supabase for authentication.
Payment information. When you purchase a report or subscribe to a plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. We store only a record of the transaction (amount, date, plan) and your email address. We never see or store your card number.
Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on site, referring sources). This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.
Alert subscriptions.If you subscribe to email alerts for a bank, we store your email address alongside that preference so we can notify you when the bank's CRA rating changes.

- To send email alerts you have explicitly subscribed to
- To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets)
- To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the site
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping purposes.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to maintain your login session (via Supabase Auth) and to collect anonymous usage analytics (via Google Analytics). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
6. Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or request deletion of your account and associated data. To make a request, email privacy@bankscorer.com.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of BankScorer after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
